Marie-Madeleine MARTINET

104, boulevard Arago
75014 PARIS

The Exhibition

Watercolour artist, born in Paris, member of the Salon des Artistes Indépendants.
Studies the British school of watercolour painters and the history of spatial representation.

She paints from her own photographs, mostly of townscapes, which she interprets as compositions based on light-and-shadow effects or views against the light, in waving lines of cloudscapes and reflections in water, with shapes created by a mixture of wet-in-wet and wet-on-dry techniques causing alternating colour gradations and backrun forms.
