About On Film
...I have another poem for May
which was inspired by your beautiful image,
Marie-France, "Spotlight, mfr541". I thought of a
woman who is the focus of a man's love and camera, a
model whose face always expresses something new every
time he captures her on film. Her influence and
beauty beguiles and intrigues the bystander's eye,
inspires other artists and enhances the art and
passion of the man, the photographer, who defines her.
I once read a quote from a portrait photographer who
said, "photography is in the blood". I think as
artists and poets we possess a natural photography
that lives in the mind's eye, the core of our
imaginations. We see things in a certain light and
bring it alive with our vision and personal thoughts.
