About The Pose

Marie-France's beautiful painting, "Coup de Foudre a Buckingham", inspired this poem and captures on canvas what I have written in words.  It shows  an intimate bond  that defies class, color or protocol.  The chandelier is the catalyst that illuminates the room and invokes the instinctive need in both women to reach out and tenderly respect each other.  Both The Queen and The First Lady come together in a pose that expresses change and spontaneous affection..  Each woman is rooted in a down-to-earth approach toward life. This allows them to cultivate a personal  strength that inspires an audience, touches a global heart. Though they may stand silent for the camera, their presence radiates enthusiasm, their heels punctuate the moment with shining marks of exclamation.
